Loading of export cargoes shipped to ports of Azov-Black Sea basin increased by almost 4% in 2020

The loading volumes of export cargoes in the direction of the seaports of the Azov-Black Sea basin as of the end of last year amounted to 78.7 million tons, an increase of 3.9% compared to 2019.

Export cargoes shipped to the port station of Novorossiysk in 2020 increased by 1% to 33.3 million tons, while 15.8 million tons were shipped to Tuapse, up by 3.8%, 14.1 million tons to Vyshesteblievskaya (port of Taman), an increase of 1.5 times, and 5.7 million tons to Grushevaya, a fall of 14.7%.

Oil accounted for 32% of the total freight traffic destined for export that was shipped on North Caucasus Railways, coal for 22.9%, ferrous metals for 13.8%, grain for 14.2%, iron ore for 6% and fertilisers for 4.5%, according to the corporate communications department at North Caucasus Railways.
